You’re a healthcare professional. You’re educated, you have experience in the industry, and you know what’s important to your clients – what keeps them up at night.
You have knowledge, and it’s time to share it in the form of useful content.
That’s the message shared recently by Tannus Quatre, PT, MBA, principal and consultant here at Vantage Clinical Solutions. In an article titled “You Have Content – Use It!” featured in the latest edition of Impact, a publication of the Private Practice Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (PPSAPTA), Quatre suggests that creating good content enhances the value your clients’ experience even after they’ve walked out the door.
“Do you realize how much value you can offer your patients outside the walls of your clinic?” Quatre asks in the article. “From injury prevention articles, to health tips, exercise suggestions, and more – you have information that is of value, and it is within your power to use it!”
Use this blog content or web copy within an e-newsletter sent to current and prospective patients. Use it within the blogosphere to attract new clients and improve the visibility of your website within online search engines. And use it to set your brand apart from your competitors.
This stuff is invaluable, and it already exists – just not on paper. Jotting down ideas and information takes time, we know, and so Quatre offers some tips to help the process along. These suggestions include:
- Sharing the load with other members of your staff;
- Hiring a writer who understands your business and your clients and who can create content accordingly;
- Dictating your thoughts to be transcribed and edited at a later time; and
- Simplifying your expectations – instead of 1,500 words, write 250 words … or whatever works best for you and your schedule.
“Take a look at the tips above and see how easily you can benefit your patients and community while adding a marketing advantage to your practice,” Quatre wrote.
