It doesn’t take a sophisticated study to notice that more women and girls are playing sports and staying active throughout their lives. I feel like I’m seeing more women of all ages hit the gym, running races, and play recreational sports long past college. But despite the surging numbers of girls and women enjoying sports, we’re still lagging behind our male counterparts at almost every age.
Physical therapy is consistently missing from consumer-facing conversations that are not strictly PT-focused, and that routinely includes women’s health. Plug PT into the online conversation by following some of Twitter’s most engaging voices on women’s health and activity. Retweet, share, comment, and engage! Your potential patients will start listening.
